Q:"Does Claire have a hard time actually securing and ingesting prey( as in, how hard would it be for her to hunt, restrain and nom an adult woman) or is her difficulty only with the digesting part?"
A:"Claire's throat is the strongest part of her body by far. The most dangerous part of people eating for her is getting started, as she isn't very consistent at the whole jaw spreading thing. Once a meal starts to go down, she has bursts of these intense swallows, sorta like a reverse vomiting motion. The crushing pressure aids in disorienting her prey as well, since there might be gaps where the current meal is resisting in between swallows.

Once a meal is secured, her throats strength works against her. She'll instinctively try to hold everything down, and as her gut bloats out from digestion adding to swallowed air, she is barely able to squeak out enough burps of relief. If her gut balloons too much during all this, or the prey resists too hard, the nausea can get to her and eventually her throat will agree to let everything out. She's lost a couple meals that way.

Morgan, despite her cruelty towards prey, is fairly affectionate towards Claire when she is struggling with a meal like this. She is trying to build Claire's fortitude through all this, however, and will sometimes have a rough approach to getting Claire's gut to churn tougher. Aggressive belly shakes, shoving back down rejected meals, or burp kisses to force her gut to stretch even further are some of the techniques she uses during their sessions."
