Most people I've seen tend to use Photoshop for after detail and effects. I've never used Clip Studio, so I don't really know how good it is. If you ever want to switch from Clip Studio, then you should try out Paint Tool SAI, it's pretty good. Do you have the stabilizer on? It can be really useful for longer lines and more control, and keeps you from having to do multiple strokes for one line. Another thing you want to make sure you do is to flip the canvas a lot as you draw. if you don't then you end up getting used to drawing in a certain direction and end up making a lot of mistakes which are really noticeable when you flip it. Using references is also a huge help for perspective and stuff you've never drawn before. Yeah i plan on using photoshop for the finishing touches.. I'll use clip studio for as long as the license lasts.. after that i was planning on switching to photoshop but looks like there's a better alternative.. i don't think i have the stabilizer on, or if there's something like that in clip studio in the first place.. i'll have to look into it.. thank you for the tip.. :) what kind of mistakes are we talking about when you say one notices when the image is flipped..? like, the error in proportions, or overall weirdness.. or something along those lines..? the thing about references you see, is that i find a lot of good reference when i'm not actually working on something, then when i try to find something specific for my intended work, i can't find anything.. not a single good reference.. >_< but well that's not really that big of a deal.. :D |

| Haven't tried sketching anything for the last couple of years, but looking at all of your drawings I got tempted to try something again. Unfortunately though, I only had a blue pen and a slightly used paper. Noticed how beautiful is Nymerias' signature so tried that. |
