I completely disagree with you.
Out of interest can you name 3 AVNs that you think are objectivly better? I think I can guess one or maybe 2 you will say but can't imagine a way BaDIK wouldn't be in anyones top 5.
I'm not quite sure how any AVN could be 'mainstream' but i'd imagine that is a personal opinion on the genre's that you like. To say it has no depth is simply not ture. From a pure plot POV there is a somehwat complex narrative around drugs, prostitution, and school politics. It has a huge cast of characters who all have thier own personalities, many of whom have interpersonal relationships outside of that with the MC. On a simple mechanics level it has more going on that any other VN i've played (before you poo-poo this please give some examples of games with more mechanics that are implemented at least as well).
I find it very strange that you would argue the game has no soul. I can't think of an AVN with a world that feels as alive as BaDIK. Again can you give some examples of games you think

I know what you mean, when I see other people's posts that aren't even half the size of mine I just glaze over and can't get myself to read them.
It does surprise me sometimes how many people can be be bothered reading what I write, but my ego tells me my posts are highly insightful and entertaining, so it all makes sense.

Agree with most of your points, but particularly this one. I wasn't much of a Sarah fan until the scene in Gender Studies where she tells Maya the blunt truth, but she really grew on me after that.

DPC only needs a few guys to regularly write here BADIK is trash and we see plenty responses saying his game is great...
In a marketing point of view DPC must love to have a few bashing his work when they have over fifty or hundred posts in this thread, there's no better proof their messages are meaningless, you need just 1 post to write a game is bad....

This game is good, but just because 99% of porn-erotic games are pure crap, the same way a shard of glass shines like a diamond among pebbles. But that doesn't make a shard of glass a diamond. If we compare this game with TV, this is a juvenile Disney-channel soap-opera mixed with "National Lampoon's Animal House", not "The Sopranos".

Have you ever heard of controversy marketing? Hollywood has been doing it for a while now. DPC uses it quite effectively.
If you read far enough into this forum you will learn that at one time DPC posted here, but according to some people he was driven away from the forum by trolls and critics. Personally I think that was his intention all along.

Yeah I was going to add that comparing AVNs with top of the line video games, they obviously fall short.
But I didn't think anyone was looking at those games as a standard for "good".
As I said this sort of argument is similar to the silly cunts out there that say LeBron James sucks because he isn't Michael Jordan .
And yes, your TV description is accurate but in this universe there is no Sopranos.
Well, in this universe there are great games in terms of story and characters, only not porn ones. We know what is real quality in games . But one thing is true: the dev is trying to make a juvenile soap-opera mixed with "National Lampoon", and that's exactly what he delivers. He's not trying to make "The Sopranos". It´s just that some people here think that "Being a DIK" is "The Sopranos".

This. The charcters, story, writing, minigames are decent. Not great, really just meh.
But in a world where the average porn game story is that all women are perpetally horny nymphos who the MC seduces simply by the power of his magic johnson, this one is quite a welcome exception.

But we're talking about the standard of porn games, so we're not counting studio developed games. So even though these games exist, ignore them and only compare BaDIK to other games of its genre.
And I don't think the people here think this game is anywhere near a Sopranos level, the writing is consistently criticized, and short comings are pointed out.
This game is American Pie and all other college based games here are barely Scary Movie.
So while BaDIK isn't best game ever, it's a levels maybe even two above its nearest competitor.
It's not Pinkcakes fault that these other guys can't write a story better than his. Even with this emotional lesbian MC.
Badik is the standard of quality for all adult games on this site. I do not know a game that would be better in terms of animation and rendering quality. This game is like an expensive blockbuster among all AVN.

I think DPC genuinely needed/wanted F95 at first, but when the popularity of BaDIK took off, this site quickly outlived its usefulness. Now he actively hates this place and anyone who even mentions it. At this point, he is so successful and wealthy that he does not need to be that proactive with his marketing tactics. F95 still probably does a majority of the marketing for this game even if DPC chooses not to acknowledge the symbiotic relationship.
Does anyone know how I can change the MC' name in gallery scenes? I know how to change on phone etc. But I'd like to change the name in the scenes only.
Why would he hate this site? He earns enough money to just ignore the pirates.

Look at his very first post on this forum, it's an obvious provocation. You'll see similar post on other forums. That's how controversy advertising works. The whole point of advertising is to get the public to be aware of your brand. With all of the controversy surrounding Acting Lesson's all it took was a few forum fights and suddenly a lot of people were talking about DPC and his games.
